KFX400 - What brand of rear chain to buy - DID $30 chain destroyed in 2 weeks
Sprockets are recently replaced & in good condition.
At the time of replacing sprockets, I installed a new $30'ish DID chain.
It didn't last but about 2 weeks of occasional trail riding then the rollers started to seperate, leaving only the center axle portion of the links.* Absolute junk chain.*
I need something better.* I'm not interested in the $250 chains, just something that is bullet proof, has a good reputation, and is budget friendly.*
Also, who has the best prices, anyone specialize in high volume sales of chains with either free shipping or fair priced shipping?*

was it just a plain chain? O-ring? X-ring?

I don't even believe it was an o-ring.* I think it was called a roller chain.*
I would have been better off tying a rope around the sprockets.*

When I was racing bikes, I ran with Moose chains on them, not sure if they carry ATV chains but you may want to check there.*

You are going to have to spend close to $100 to get anything decent.
