Default Spark plug broke off.

Ok this is going to be tough to explain but here it goes.* if you were to take a hack saw and start cutting right where the threads start as close to the nut as possible and cut all the way around enough to where you don’t cut into ceramic you can die sect the plug leaving you with just the threads and arm in one hand and the ceramic/nut in the other. so as the story goes I’m 10 min into my ride at Armargosa big dune in Nevada and I start to here this noise like my exhaust was leaking from my front head so I pull over and start checking around and pop spark plug blew out leaving the threads in the head and the ceramic piece in the boot.* The bad news I was a 100 mile drive for a 10 min ride and no spare plug.* The good news is I took a flat head screwdriver stuck It in the broke plug gave a little tap with a hammer and screwed it right out.* Clear as mud?

Anyone have an extra plug to get you through the day?* When I change out my plugs, I clean up the best looking one and keep it as a spare...

A buddy of mine broke his plug in the same place Saturday. We have yet to get it out. I going to buy an easy out tool this week.

I do the same, although I haven't needed it yet. "Better to have and not need, then to need and not have."

use a regular easy out.* the one's from sears work.* they look like a reverse tapered drill bit

they come out easier than you think.* IF you didn't cross thread it going in there

I've already got one out with a small Eyeglass repair screwdriver.* insert it down to the tang of the plug.* but that will be costly if it breaks

While we are talking about it, what brand plug is everyone running? Factory, Aftermarket?

Lets hear what brand and what is the plug number. Also, are you running the factory heat range? Hotter, Colder.

CR7E is the Best there is.

if you are running NOS CR9E or CR10E

Screw the Iridium and "specialty plugs"* they are garbage.
